Tony Panzica
Tony earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Purdue University and his professional engineering license shortly thereafter. After gaining invaluable experience with a large multinational engineering and construction firm, he began work at Panzica Construction in 1977. As President and CEO, Tony has successfully managed his team on a path of growth and leadership of some of the region’s most transformative projects. Under his direction the company completed the historic renovation of both Severance Hall and the Cleveland Museum of Art, and more recently the rebirth of Cleveland’s riverfront with the Aloft Hotel and Flats East Bank Apartments projects. Panzica Construction is currently underway on the $100 Million expansion and renovation of the Cleveland Museum of Natural History. Tony is now leading the company’s expansion into the Florida market.
Tony has been involved in theatre and the arts as a board member and builder for decades. Guiding the fast-track renovation of the Playhouse Square Theatre District in Cleveland, including the historic Allen Theater. Originally constructed in 1921, the Allen serves as performance space for Cleveland Playhouse, Playhouse Square, and the Cleveland State University Drama Department.
Over the past 46 years, Tony has served on a variety of boards and committees in the non-profit sector and maintains an active role in industry related groups, serving on the Board of the Construction Employer’s Association for many years. He joined the Gulfshore Playhouse Board of Directors in 2017 and serves as the chair of the Building Committee.
