Nizar Ghoussaini

Nizar Ghoussaini is a Senior Operating Partner at the European private equity firm Triton since 2008. During his tenure at Triton, he was Chairman of the Board of the German based international companies Dematic and Stabilus and served on the boards of the Swedish company Ovako and the Spanish/German company Befesa, both of which operated globally in the steel production and services space. 

Prior to Triton, Nizar was President and CEO of Benteler Automobiltechnik, Based in Paderborn Germany from 1999 to 2008. Nizar moved from the US to Germany in 1995 to take the position of President of Lear Corporation’s Premium Car Division with responsibility for the European car business worldwide.

Born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon, he left Lebanon after completing his high school education and lived in Liberia West Africa, the Republic of Panama, USA, Germany and France.

Nizar has advanced degrees in physical chemistry and chemical engineering from two American Jesuit universities and received business training at Harvard business school and at Wharton, as well as at the London Business School.

Nizar is currently serving as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Creighton University. He is active in charitable organizations in the US that focus on impoverished areas in the Middle East including the Middle East Children’s Alliance (MECA) and the Freedom Theater in the Palestinian West Bank.
