Gulfshore Playhouse CEO Kristen Coury appointed to The Greater Naples Chamber board of directors

Kristen Coury, CEO and producing artistic director of Gulfshore Playhouse, Naples’ premier professional regional theater, has been appointed to The Greater Naples Chamber board of directors for a three-year term beginning June 1. The Greater Naples Chamber is the largest of 25 in the five-county Southwest Florida region, and recognized as one of the top 300 chambers in Florida.

In addition to Coury’s appointment on The Greater Naples Chamber board of directors, she is a former board member of the Theatre Communications Group, the national service organization for the professional, not-for-profit American Theatre. She is also a frequent investor in Broadway productions, including the Tony Award-winning revival of “Once On This Island.” Coury previously worked on Broadway for Walt Disney Theatrical’s production of “Beauty and the Beast” and for Andrew Lloyd Webber’s company, The Really Useful Group. She has also produced an album and directed a feature film, “Friends and Family,” which was released around the U.S. and Europe.
