The Conservatory at Gulfshore Playhouse Announces Fall & Winter Programming

The Jungle Book KIDS
September 25 – October 14
Ages 8-13

The Conservatory of Gulfshore Playhouse teams up with the Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples (CMON) for an awesome Fall student program. This three-week adventure for aspiring actors allows students to discover their talents with top-notch educators and shine on stage at the CMON amphitheatre in a fully-produced musical.

Broadway Bootcamp: Monster Mash
October 23-27, 5:00-7:00PM
Ages 6-10

Perfect for aspiring vampires, ghosts, and other spooky creatures, this musical theatre class will introduce students choreography and vocals to spooky Halloween classics. Featuring songs from Hocus Pocus, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and more! This class meets in the final week of October with a showcase performance on October 27 for family and friends.

Winter Conservatory: Winter Wonderland
December 18-22, 9:00AM-12:00PM
Ages 5-7

Introducing your littlest ones to musical theatre? We are excited to bring back our popular Broadway Bootcamp for students ages 5-7! Students will develop their singing, dancing, and acting skills through the music and characters of winter holiday classics. At the end of the week, our students will get a chance to present their new skills to parents and family members in a showcase performance!

Broadway Bound

Ages 8-13

Experience the thrill of musical theatre as you learn to combine acting, singing, and dancing to bring a story to life! Students will be immersed in the art form of musical theatre, combining acting, singing, and dancing to tell a story. Students will warm up with acting games before learning songs and dances from popular, age-appropriate Broadway shows. Broadway Bound will culminate in a final showcase performance for friends and family.

Story Explorers: Ancient Adventures
December 18-22, 9:00AM-12:00PM
Ages 8-13

Embark on an Indiana Jones-style journey of discovery and unlock the secrets of the ancient world…perfect for adventurers and puzzle-solvers! As students work together to collect clues, they will exercise the elements of the Actors’ Toolbox (body, voice, imagination) as they collaborate in the devising of an original story to share with family and friends on the final day of the program.

Winter Conservatory: Teen New Works
December 18-22, 1:00-4:00PM
Ages 13-18

Get ready to be part of an artistic journey! Teens now have the chance to join the collaborative team of artists and be a part of the process of theatre-making from the very beginning. Teens will develop skills in playwriting and giving and receiving constructive criticism, ending the week with a draft of a short play that will be presented as staged readings on the last day of the program.

Broadway Bootcamp: Magical Adventures
February 1, 8, 15, 22 & 29, 2024 (Thursdays)
5:00-7:00PM
Ages 6-10

Princesses, pirates, and puppets, oh my! Students will learn the music and choreography from your favorite fairy tales and stories this February in our Magical Adventures Broadway Bootcamp. This class meets every Thursday, and will conclude on February 29th with a showcase of what they’ve learned! Get ready to let your child’s imagination soar!
