GULFSHORE PLAYHOUSE SEEKS IT SPECIALIST
Gulfshore Playhouse, a mission-driven, professional theatre company located in Naples, Florida, is seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented and organized individual to serve as IT Specialist, providing full technological support to Gulfshore Playhouse and its facilities.
Gulfshore Playhouse offers a diverse season of straight plays and musicals ranging from venerated classics and Broadway hits to contemporary works and world premieres. The Playhouse is passionately committed to producing high-quality, professional theatre which exceeds the expectations of the cultured residents and visitors of Naples, FL, many of whom are regular theatre patrons in New York, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C.
Gulfshore Playhouse performs at the Baker Theatre and Education Center, a state-of-the-art facility, featuring a 350-seat mainstage with a Broadway-sized stage, a 125-seat flexible space, rehearsal studios, classrooms, and rental space. In 2022, Gulfshore Playhouse became nationally recognized as the 77th member of the League of Resident Theatres (LORT). This is an extraordinarily exciting time for the Playhouse, which is experiencing unprecedented growth, and the IT Specialist will have the opportunity to independently operate an Information Technology department in a collaborative and creative community.
Status: Full-time, year-round position
Start Date: ASAP
Reporting directly to the COO/ Managing Director, the IT Specialist will provide day-to-day technological support, manage and facilitate security procedures, install new technology and application updates, and maintain all systems for the Baker Theatre & Education Center. The IT Specialist must be creative and enjoy working within a small, entrepreneurial environment that is results-driven and community oriented.
The ideal individual will have a strong drive to provide high-quality work, the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, organizational skills, and leadership capabilities. The Playhouse values hard work, kindness, generosity, passion, and grace-under-pressure. The IT Specialist will be expected to work extended hours when necessary to meet goals. Some weekend and evening hours are required including attendance at Opening Nights, special events, and/or meetings that may happen outside normal hours.

Duties:
- Create the Information Technology procedures, policies, and practices for all facilities.
- Develop and validate test routines to ensure the quality of the external and internal interface.
- Assist staff with the use of ArtsVision, crowdEngage, Windows computers, Apple devices, Zoom, Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, Adobe, and other technology systems utilized by Gulfshore Playhouse.
- Work closely with the Facilities Manager to ensure the efficiency of operations and security systems.
- Execute assignments with the use of web applications, scripts, and programming languages such as WordPress, CMS integration and UX integration.
- Build, design, and maintain all websites and software applications.
- Design, write, and edit website content.
- Evaluate written code to ensure it meets industry standards and is compatible with all devices.
- Accomplish company goals by accepting ownership of new and different requests.
- Manage facility security and systems, including user authorization and firewalls.
- Provide technical support to colleagues on-site and by remote methods such as by phone or email.
- Create metrics reports on a weekly or monthly basis.
- Facilitate data transfers and processes according to legal and company guidelines.
- Actively seek out ways in which Gulfshore Playhouse can improve their technology, adhering to trends and industry upgrades.
- Manage the company’s networks and servers.
- Collaborate with the company’s stakeholders to fulfill technological needs and establish solutions if necessary.
- Install and configure any computers, softwares, firewalls, networks, servers, and miscellaneous security or technological enhancements for Gulfshore Playhouse staff and facilities
- Establish accounts and manage passwords and devices for Gulfshore Playhouse staff.
- Provide guidance to staff on the adoption of new technology and upgrades, clearly communicating Gulfshore Playhouse’s policies.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, both local and non-local, to service technological advancements, issues, and changes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field preferred
- 2+ years experience in an information technology role is a must
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Adobe Acrobat
- Experience working in a theatre utilizing ArtsVision and/or crowdEngage a plus

Salary range: $57,000-$60,000
