Gulfshore Playhouse, a mission-driven, professional theatre company located in Naples, Florida,
is seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and hospitality driven individual to serve as a Bartender.

usher in a new era of professional theatre in Southwest Florida.
Gulfshore Playhouse offers a diverse season of straight plays and musicals ranging from
venerated classics and Broadway hits to contemporary works and world premieres. The
Playhouse is passionately committed to producing high-quality, professional theatre which
exceeds the expectations of the cultured residents and visitors of Naples, FL, many of whom are
regular theatre patrons in New York, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C.
Gulfshore Playhouse has performed for many years in an intimate 200-seat venue at the Norris
Center, a municipal building run by the City of Naples. The Playhouse is in the final phases of a
$72M capital campaign and is fully under construction on the Baker Theatre and Education
Center, a state-of-the-art facility, featuring a 368-seat mainstage with a Broadway-sized stage, a
125-seat flexible space, rehearsal studios, classrooms, and rental space. In 2022, Gulfshore
Playhouse became nationally recognized as the 77th member of the League of Resident Theatres
(LORT). This is an extraordinarily exciting time for the Playhouse, which is experiencing
unprecedented growth.
Status: Part-time, Seasonal Position
Pay range: $14 per/hr + tips.
Start Date: October 2024
Representative Duties:
Reporting to the Director of Events/Food & Beverage, Bartenders will be responsible for
beverage service at various bar locations within Gulfshore Playhouse and working private
internal and external functions.
● Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to patrons.
● Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and providing
menu recommendations.
● Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction.
● Demonstrate knowledge of liquor laws and responsibility in the service of alcoholic
beverages to ensure compliance with local and state food and beverage regulations.
● Ability to monitor and manage alcohol consumption to ensure a safe and enjoyable
environment.
● Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and
utensils, restocking supplies, and disposing of waste.
● Maintain acceptable beverage cost levels by monitoring pour levels, managing inventory,
waste, and reporting any discrepancies.
● Handle cash transactions and process payments quickly and accurately.
● Complete opening and closing duties as assigned or delegated by management.
● Set up/breakdown for events. This can include, but is not limited to, bars, alcohol,
glasses, tables, chairs, linens, etc.
● Collaborate with all Gulfshore Playhouse staff members to provide excellent customer
service and create a world-class experience.
The ideal individual will have a passion for providing exceptional service, excellent
communication skills, flexibility, and possess the ability to help create memorable experiences,

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate would possess:
● Previous experience as a bartender, preferably in a fast-paced and customer-oriented
setting.
● Excellent customer service and hospitality skills.
● Strong cash handling skills
● Knowledge of Toast POS or a similar point-of-sale system
● Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
● Basic knowledge of food handling and safety regulations.
● Time management skills to ensure prompt service to guests.
● Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
● Ability to stand for 6-8 hours at a time.
● Enthusiastic and positive demeanor to contribute to a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere.
