Teen Apprentice Program: Technical Theatre Exploration
Acting and performance is just one facet of the art of theatre. Performance is supported by the elements of production that surround it, from costumes to lighting to scenery. If you’ve ever been curious to learn more about technical theatre and all the possible career opportunities in the field, this is the perfect place to start. You will learn from the people who make Broadway-caliber theatre at Gulfshore Playhouse every day while making new friends and gaining skills. Technical Theatre Exploration, part of the Teen Apprentice Program, provides an opportunity for student artists to engage with professional theatre artists. The Teen Apprentice program will uplift and develop all young theatre-makers and appreciators by preparing students for careers in the arts. We are committed to fostering Education programs that reflect the diverse population of Collier County; students of any experience level are encouraged to participate!

Kizzie's Kids Scholarship Fund
Gulfshore Playhouse Education firmly believes that cost should not be a bar to participation. Named in honor of the beloved, late fur family member of philanthropists Patty and Jay Baker, the Kizzie’s Kids Scholarship Fund enables all students to participate in our theatre programs. Kizzie’s Kids is funded through gifts from generous donors and other grants-based programs. Needs-based scholarships are available to students for after-school and summer programs. Kizzie’s Kids scholarship applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Please note that acceptance of a scholarship does not guarantee program placement. If you are interested in learning more about scholarships, please contact Steven Calakos at scalakos@gulfshoreplayhouse.org.
