Genevieve VenJohnson

Genevieve earned her MFA at FSU/Asolo Conservatory, and is delighted to return to South Florida. Stage credits include the Off-Broadway production of, THE IPHIGENIA CYCLE, with Theatre For a New Audience, and two European tours of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR. Performing in film, television, and regional theatres across the U.S, Genevieve lives in Chicago where she is represented by Paonessa Talent. Her most recent Chicago stage appearances were U.S. premieres of contemporary British plays: HOPELESSLY DEVOTED, at Piven Theatre, and DIRTY BUTTERLY; with The Blind Owl/Halcyon Theatre. Stage work includes productions with Steppenwolf Theatre, Broadway in Chicago, Goodman Theatre, Court Theatre, Chicago Shakespeare, Ravinia Festival Theatre, Lifeline Theatre, and Chicago Children’s Theatre. A favored company is The House Theatre of Chicago, with whom she’s currently voicing the role of Professor Margaret Van Helsing, in the 10 part Serial Audioplay, DRACULA. TV roles include POWER BOOK IV: FORCE/ Starz, PROVEN INNOCENT/ FoxTV, CHICAGO JUSTICE/ NBC Universal, and LOW WINTER SUN/ AMC.
